Does it have a very Japanese-esque design to it to anyone else? Like it could have a Honda badge on it and not look out of place.

I know Saturn was built around fighting the Japanese imports, but I never noticed just how Japanese some of their designs looked.

EDIT: Yes, I know they had Honda engines in them, that's part of the reason why I said Honda.

Some of them did. Had a very complex intake manifold with electronic baffles. Biggest POS. When they failed. Had one sent to the dealer for repair and even they could not repair it.

Exactly! I'm not saying the blatantly copied a Japanese manufacturer, but the design has Japanese influence.

I had an SL2 a loooong time ago, and was extremely unreliable. Bought it new, even.
